The men's hockey squad for the SEA Games this December will have to play a waiting game.

The composition of players will largely depend on just who makes it to the national senior side for the Korean Test matches as well as the final line up for the Junior World Cup in New Delhi.

Only then can coach Tai Beng Hai decide on his squad to Yangoon for the SEA Games.

"I am hoping that the two teams can give me an indication of the players they are taking to both events,' said Beng Hai.

"Thus I cannot determine what players I will have for the SEA Games yet.

'Of course the bulk of the players will come from those left out for the Korean matches and Junior World Cup."

Currently the junior squad has 25 players in training and are expected to name their 18 early November for the JWC that will be held in New Delhi from 6-15 December.

As for the senior side, they had 30 players in the side but Mohd Noor Faeez Ibrahim and Hafifihafiz Hanafi pulled out while S.Selvaraju and Faizal Saari are committed in playing in the French and German leagues respectively.

With that national coach will only be able to spare 8 players for Beng Hai.

"That is why I need to know who the players that are going to be released as I can then decide to call up more players."added Beng Hai.

On who will be his assistant coaches for SEA Games, Beng Hai was non committal.

"the coaching committee has made their recommendation and it is up to the Management Committee to decide," contends Beng Hai.

The two names proposed by the Coaching Committee were ex international M.Kaliswaran and Perak's Razak Cup win
